AFL boss Gillon McLachlan wants supporters to call out racist behaviour at matches.

Indigenous Adelaide star Eddie Betts had a banana thrown at him by a Port Adelaide fan during Saturday night's match at Adelaide Oval.

McLachlan says it was an "unambiguously racist" act but he's been buoyed by the way fellow supporters, players and officials have responded.
