The third quarter is often referred to as "The Premiership Quarter" and one where teams seemingly flex their muscles and assert themselves as the better side. 

Well, as you can from the graphic below, that's just not the case with current bottom four side Fremantle sitting above premiership fancies Geelong. 

Adelaide sits two points clear on top ahead of New South Wales sides Sydney and GWS Giants. 

While Carlton and Essendon are rooted to the bottom of the ladder.
